Penny was my second grade teacher when I moved to Graham School from Elmore City. She was also my kids second grade teacher at Fox School. If memory serves me right, (when she was my teacher) she told the whole class we were getting swats. We went out one by one thinking we were in trouble and we didn't know why. When we got to the hall she hit the bottom of her shoe. It sounded like the real deal from the classroom, then she gave us bubble gum and said don't tell the rest of the class that hadn't went out yet. We all got bubble gum. I was so thankful it wasn't swats. 😥 I am thankful I got to know her. She was a good teacher and a good person. ⚘ Kerry "Fletcher" Lofton

Mrs. Gossvener was my favorite teacher of all-time! She was the reason I became a teacher myself. The way she made learning fun with interactive units made an impression on me. I still have my Hawaiian booklet and the cross-stitching craft I entered in the State Fair contest from her class. She was an amazing woman and my life was forever changed by her influence. Sending prayers for her family during this time.
