The southern Carolina sun rose on George Allen Littlefield, Jr., 76, on August 11, 1944 and set on April 27, 2021 as he entered into the Kingdom of Heaven. Services will be held Saturday, May 1 at 2:00PM at Rexroat Baptist Church, Wilson, with Bro. Edward Wise and Bro. Monte Dean officiating. A private graveside service for the family will be at Bomar Point Cemetery prior to the celebration of life service. Visitation will be at Alexander-Gray Funeral Home, Wilson, from 6:00-8:00PM, Friday, April 30, 2021.

George was born in Tryon, NC and raised in Landrum, SC. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Anna Littlefield; sister, Laura Jean Becknell Jutzi; little brother, Michael Littlefield; and brothers-in-law, Cecil Becknell, Lee Dugan, and Jim Trotter.

George married the love of his life, Laura "Larri" (Dugan) Littlefield on December 10, 1966 in Perryville, AR where they began their 54 years of marriage together. He is survived by his wife Laura "Larri" Littlefield of Wilson; son, Scott (Kristin) Littlefield of Marietta; son, Matt (Kristi) Littlefield of Wilson; three grandsons, Casey (Amanda) Littlefield of Wilson, Barrett Littlefield of Marietta, and Patrick Littlefield of Marietta, a granddaughter, Chye "Ducky" Littlefield of Wilson, and three great-grandchildren, Bryar Littlefield, Dawson Littlefield, and Anna Littlefield all of Wilson; brother Marty (Mindy) Littlefield of Landrum, SC; sisters, Mary Betty (Junior) Mayfield of Landrum, SC, and Candace (Harold) Burns of Landrum, SC; siblings-in-law Dale Trotter of Perryville, AR; Opal (Bill) Roberts of Perryville, AR; Buddy (Sandy) Dugan of Blocker, OK; Luann Dugan of Canadian, OK; Ben (Shelly) Dugan of Perryville, AR; Linda (Eddie) Jarrett of McAlester, OK; Donna (Terry) Lenox of McAlester, OK; Dianne (Randall) Reeder of Stuart OK; Geri (Randy) Clifton of Crowder, OK, and numerous close nieces and nephews; special friends Don Green of Roanoke, AL, Jim Snow of Quinlan, TX, Bradley Rogers of Madill, OK, David Hull of Ardmore, OK, Larry Conway of Lone Grove, OK, Gina Stopher of Marietta, OK, Susie Reed of Marietta, OK, Poncho Scribner of Gainesville, TX, Dean Williamson of Ark City, KS, and childhood friend, Robert "RT" Turner of Landrum, SC.

A true southern gentleman, George was the epitome of a man of integrity, always doing what he said he'd do, and sealing a deal with a handshake. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, and "Dad-Dad". He passed on his humor, wit, and word to his children and grandchildren who carry on his love for family, friends, and the Lord. Having instilled in his children the importance of hard work no matter the circumstance, he leaves behind a legacy of character and responsibility, and his greatest joy came in watching his grandchildren live life to its fullest.

A horseman his entire life, he was well known for having a keen sense for quality horses. George worked with some of the greatest horseman in the world, Ned "Gramps" Smith, Dick Cole, Sonny Thomison, Don Green, Jim Snow, Wade Yeager, and others too numerous to mention. Trading horses took him all over the United States, Canada, Panama, and Brazil. It has been said that there isn't anyone in the horse business who didn't like George Littlefield. He could tell you how much he paid for the first horse he ever bought, what color and how tall he was, but he couldn't remember where he left his belt! He could do the most difficult math figuring in his head, but you couldn't read his handwriting. He got his moment of "fame" when he was an extra along with his good friend, Dick Cole, in the movie, Far and Away. Through all the many miles he traveled, he left an indelible mark wherever he went.

Casey Littlefield, Barrett Littlefield, Patrick Littlefield, David Hull, Jim Snow, and Nick Clifton will serve as Pallbearers. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers: Bryar Littlefield, Dawson Littlefield, Larry Conway, Jeff Dugan, Tracy Lenox, Corrie Reeder, Poncho Scribner, Terry "Bronc" Trotter and Atlas Smith.

The family would like to thank the team (Jimmie, Leta, Brooklyn, and Crystal) from Cross Timbers Hospice for the loving kindness shown to Dad (and the family) during the last three weeks.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cross Timbers Hospice, or a live tree donation for the family to plant in honor of George.

George Littlefield, a life well lived, and a man well loved. Rest in Peace, Dad.
